CDCC Meeting and Officer Elections — Wednesday April 3

Mel Poindexter

When the crocuses appear, it's not just springtime — it's also renewal time for the CDCC!

Our next meeting this Wednesday (April 3) will be our annual reorganization meeting. We will hold officer elections for the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Affirmative Action & Outreach Advisor. Not only are CDCC members eligible to vote in these elections, but we encourage all interested members to run for an officer position!

We’re also very excited that our speaker will be Democratic National Committee member Mel Poindexter! A longtime progressive activist from Watertown, Mel is the first African American man to serve on the DNC, and has been deeply involved in the promotion of diversity and inclusion at the local, state and national levels for many years.

If we’re lucky, maybe Mel will give us the inside scoop about delegate selection and the DNC…!

Baldwin School Cafeteria, 85 Oxford Street
